Brother David, it is interesting that as the old testament came to a close (and the four gospels were the end of the old testament)there were 12 disciples and of course the 70 and eventually 120 jewish believers on the day of Pentecost. Then there were 3000 then 5000. But, at that time it never entered the minds of the disciples that the gentiles were going to be added in amazing numbers. Yet, a man named Cornelius was making his journey to a place where his alms were heard before God. Peter then was dispatched and we know the rest. So, I agree. The only thing I can do is be glad I am a part of what is going on and enjoy the ride.
Good point. The Jews thought they were the only thing God had going on too. Our God is so much bigger than we give Him credit for.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Posted for Bernice Acton Farmer - I really liked your blog, Bro. David. I tried to leave a post, but I guess I don't have an account. I just wanted to day that we sang "How Big is God?" during Sunday service. So glad I belong to Him.
As Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes) said as he gazed into the night sky: "'I'M SIGNIFICANT!'...yelled the speck." Humbling stuff!
