Noah cursed his grandson, not Ham?

Thoughts on Genesis 9

Genesis 9:3 is the first time God instructed us to eat animals. Vs 5 establishes capital punishment (the death penalty) for laws in our society and its purpose. The rainbow doesn’t belong to LGBTQ+, and the origin of the cursed Canaanite’s is revealed.

Question: So why did Noah curse Canaan, Ham’s youngest son cursed instead of Ham himself who told his brothers, Shem and Japheth? Perhaps someone knows? Here’s a possibility… the term, “Grandson” is never listed in the Bible, neither are there grandfathers… there are only sons and fathers. Was Canaan the one who discovered his grandfather in that state and publicly snitched, dishonoring his grandfather?
