After much time and soul searching, I have decided to begin a new chapter. There are many reasons:
1. For years I have attempted to, “Get back in” to my Blogger account without success. I didn’t know if this was due to the changing of Blogger, a broken link to my account or forgotten passwords.
2. I finally found the solution! I was able to access my blog by using Chrome instead of just the regular Google.
3. This year, I started a one year Bible reading plan with the church I am currently going to, but have been asked to curtail my comments and thoughts there. I feel like I am going to burst at the seams with what God has been teaching me if I don’t get it out.
4. These thoughts are primarily for me, so I can look back and reflect on God’s word, but I wish to share with others as what I learn brings the Bible alive and much of it pertains to what the Bible is saying and how it relates to our everyday lives.
5. It helps me remember God’s word better and keeps a record. I learn as I read and study. I get to know Him better and His nature comes alive to me. My thoughts are not intended to be exhaustive, but just cover the things that stick out… those things that God impresses on me at the time.
6. Being a preacher’s kid, I grew up in church twice on Sunday, with Wednesday and Friday night services usually lasting about 3 hours each, just soaking up the word of God. But, to my shame, I had never read the Bible completely through cover to cover. This is the first time, and I wanna see what I missed.
7. My hope with this new approach is that it will make each post smaller and easier to read.
8 My plan is to post every day or thereabouts to help me continue with my Bible reading. I have some catch-up to do, so at first, I’ll have to post more.
9. I am blessed and excited to learn more about the Bible. It comes alive to me and it related to my life and what I see. I wish to share those thoughts with you.
I pray that by reading my Bible thoughts, it will help reveal some insight into His word, and the implications that insight will reveal in our everyday lives.
Good to read you will be resuming your blog! I will follow it!
